Wellness is quite simple. It’s about sleeping well, being active, eating well, taking care of yourself and others. How do we implement it in the hospitality industry?

I started my wellness journey at 20 when it wasn’t trendy. No one would have bet a cent on wellness. I entered the hospitality industry, specifically luxury hotels. That’s when I truly understood the importance of customer service.

And for 18 years, I settled down at Accor. I developed a strategy focused on wellness, wellness services in hospitality, and customer experience. These essential pillars are eating, sleeping, being active, and caring for yourself. This, combined with a practical and consistent approach, allows us to bring things to fruition.

My greatest experience is having succeeded in instilling this wellness strategy within a large hotel group. I tried to shake things up, saying: “We need to be ready to rethink the hospitality industry of tomorrow.”

The wellness strategy, first and foremost, starts with the wellness of the employees and team members. That’s the first thing. It begins with a warm welcome and a sincere smile. And above all, keeping promises!
That makes all the difference.
