THIRTEEN and the Brennan Center for Justice at NYU School of Law co-hosted an intersectional conversation about justice in the United States. The panel discussion explored topics like race, justice and political agency. Karen Boykin-Towns — Vice Chairman of the NAACP Board of Directors and CEO of Encore Strategies, was one of the panelists.

The speakers explored whether justice is possible in the face of legislative barriers and discussed how democracy can be made stronger by those most marginalized.

Other panelists were Ángel Díaz, Counsel, Brennan Center for Justice; director and producer Grace Lee; and moderated by MetroFocus host Jenna Flanagan.
