Louisiana Rural Health Association Board Nomination - Karen Wyble
Karen Wyble, the VP Rural Health and Workforce Development at Ochsner Lafayette General Hospital, has been chosen to serve on the Louisiana Rural Health Association board.
The LRHA defines their mission as, “The Louisiana Rural Health Association recognizes that rural areas are unique and differ from urban areas in their geography, population mix and density, economics, lifestyle, values, and social organizations. Rural people and communities require programming and advocacy that responds to their unique characteristics and needs. Through discussion and exploration, the LRHA works to create a clear understanding of rural health care in Louisiana, its needs and effective ways to meet these needs.”
Karen’s dedication to her community and advocacy for higher quality healthcare to rural areas will allow her to excel in this new role. Karen passionately fights to create high-standard healthcare policies for those who are often overlooked and underserved. Her vast experience in healthcare, empathetic qualities and drive for improvement of wellness will positively impact the board.

“I’m very proud to announce that the Louisiana Rural Health Association (LRHA) Board of Directors voted unanimously to approve my nomination to serve on the LRHA Board. I’m looking forward to serve the Association, and most importantly our members whose interests I will be fully committed to.
